A brand communications, marketing and PR leader with 10+ years’ experience, Imani is incredibly passionate about creating bold strategies delivering impactful moments and campaigns, and crafting thoughtful narratives for brands. Most recently, Imani was the PR/Comms + Events Director at Savage X Fenty - the global innerwear, apparel and lingerie brand by Rihanna. She led PR strategy + execution, external comms and events for all brand initiatives (product launches, campaigns and celebrity partnerships).

Prior to joining Savage X, Imani served as Senior Manager, PR and Communications at DTC basics brand Bombas where she led earned media strategy and execution for product launches & category expansions, seasonal campaigns in addition to thought leadership & award opportunities. Before her time in-house, Imani spent the first half of her career on the marketing/PR agency side where she worked across a wide range of verticals — from fashion (Jordan Brand, JCPenney), food (Taco Bell, Godiva) to consumer tech (Tinder), travel and more — and supported PR efforts, including strategy and events.

Imani has been freelancing for 3+ years working as a PR consultant for lifestyle brands including Hamama (DTC microgreens company), Nuw (sustainable fashion app), Hypsole (specialty sports footwear brand) and others. In this capacity, she has supported brand positioning efforts, introduced global brands to US consumers, driven strategy + execution for campaigns, led PR agency RFP process and more.
