At Birchbox, Chris led the eCommerce Marketing team, tasked with unlocking non-subscription (higher-margin) revenue through customer marketing programs targeting subscribers of its monthly subscription box.

Chris's team oversaw the content and promotions featured on Birchbox's website, mobile app, and email marketing programs. He spearheaded an overhaul of the Birchbox.com homepage, resulting in a 10% increase in average order value (AOV). Additionally, he continuously optimized Birchbox's website and mobile app conversion rate by A/B testing various content, products, and promotional messages.

Additionally, Chris collaborated closely with Birchbox's Technology, Planning, Merchandising, Creative, Content, and Finance teams to identify key growth opportunities for the business and create alignment around eCommerce roadmaps.

At Blue Apron, Chris established the company's inaugural Product Marketing & CRM teams, which were accountable for planning and executing Go-To-Market strategies for new physical and digital products, aiming to accelerate revenue growth and enhance customer retention.

Chris was responsible for driving customer acquisition, win-back, and retention for Blue Apron through its email, push notifications, website, and mobile app channels. He identified campaign strategies and explored new channels to help the company meet or surpass its growth targets.

In line with these initiatives, Chris also oversaw product positioning, conducted A/B messaging testing, managed product rollouts, and orchestrated guest chef partnership launches within these customer-facing marketing channels.

At Grubhub, Chris led the Retention Marketing team, which was responsible for engaging diners and increasing their purchase frequency.

Chris's team managed several key revenue-driving marketing programs, including Grubhub's loyalty program, national restaurant chain launch campaigns, personalized CRM programs (such as real-time weather alerts and restaurant recommendations/promotions), and hyper-local digital campaigns across 15 key markets.

To optimize the ROI of promotional spend, Chris implemented a testing roadmap for hyper-targeted customer coupons executed across the email, push notification, and display marketing channels.

Additionally, Chris led an effort to overhaul and streamline the email creation process, resulting in a reduction of production time from 2+ weeks to 2 days, enabling higher channel throughput.
