From pre-season through the offseason, the newsletter maintains elite engagement, averaging a 60.3% unique open rate—well above sports-media norms of around 38%—with 47,179 subscribers, 86% of whom have opened or clicked in the last 60 days, and an unsubscribe rate of just 0.11%. A multi-email welcome drip campaign from October to December introduces fans to the rules, teams, and storylines, growing the list to more than 32,000 subscribers before Game 1. During the season, a consistent cadence of Wednesday “What You Missed” recaps and Friday “Tune-In Tonight” previews keeps engagement above 57% even after the season ends, with two issues per month in the offseason.

Exclusive, email-only ticket pre-sales sell out in under two hours for every direct-sale blast, with open rates as high as 77% and click-through rates up to 46.65%. An MVP voting campaign gated behind an email opt-in adds more than 8,100 subscribers in just 12 days. Native sponsor blocks featuring brands like Ally, Adobe, and Therabody integrate seamlessly into the content, generating branded exposure without sacrificing list health. Even in the offseason, newsletters average a 57.8% open rate and 5.8% CTR, proving the durability of fan interest.

The strategy consistently turns casual followers into loyal, revenue-generating superfans, making the newsletter a primary driver of both engagement and sales.

As Executive Producer for Caesars Sportsbook’s 2022 Traveling Tailgate Tour, Rebecca Toback oversaw all content production from the branded 18-wheeler that served as both a state-of-the-art production studio and a premium fan experience. Beginning in Week 2 of the NFL season and culminating at the Super Bowl, the tour visited dozens of NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL cities, offering more than 1,000 square feet of interactive activation space and producing high-quality, on-location content that connected fans to the Caesars brand nationwide.

At each stop, Rebecca led the production of live shows, interviews, and social content with sports media personalities Trey Wingo and Kenny Mayne, joined by local sports legends such as Andre Reed in Buffalo, Dwight Freeney in Indianapolis, and dozens of Hall of Famers during Super Bowl week. These appearances, combined with the truck’s immersive content wall and VIP experiences, generated over 1,200 first-time bettors (FTDs) and positioned Caesars as the sportsbook that delivers unmatched access and hospitality.

The tour concluded with a marquee Super Bowl activation where more than 200,000 fans passed through Caesars’ experience, meeting Hall of Famers, participating in interactive games, and engaging with sponsor-driven fan moments. Under Rebecca’s creative and production leadership, the traveling tailgate blended premium hospitality, live events, and digital storytelling to cement Caesars Sportsbook’s brand loyalty while driving measurable acquisition and fan engagement.
