While in-house at Guardian Bikes, took the team from Google Ads dependency and slow growth to paid social profitability. The first step was ensuring that reporting and attribution were setup so the impact of each channel (paid search, paid social, and influencer) could be quickly and confidently understood. With attribution in place, he took Facebook Ads from a few hundred dollars per day to over $5k/day within three months. Consistent operations with three key parts drove success - building a content operation that could scale (whitelisters + UGC + in-house diverse creative), landing page testing for optimal pre- to post-click journey, and improved email flows to convert leads and abandon carts. The result? A profitable, scalable acquisition channel that drove first order profitability in a low-retention, high AOV business and a foundation for 2x + growth YoY.

Nate implemented a post-purchase survey in the first year of the brand’s launch for a holistic view of attribution. This is still in use today and the main source of truth for performance across 10+ channels, both online and offline. Nate built the data pipeline with custom API connections and created a clean view of channel performance vs business performance so stakeholders could easily view the impact of increased or decreased spend across any active channels. The impact is seen in the brand’s ability to continue scaling.

Consulting for WonderCow, Nate modeled out the recommendation of making subscription the default option on their hero product and offering a steeper discount to new subscribers. He modeled the improvement in sub take rate, decrease in CAC for higher discount, decrease in AOV due to the discount, and change in LTR/LTV due to higher discount, lower CAC, and improved retention and showcased the assumptions in an easily digestible model. The brand actioned on the strategy which resulted in 3x more new customers MoM at flat CAC, 2x higher percentage of new customers opting for subscription, and 3x the retention for month 1.
