At KiwiCo, a leading direct-to-consumer subscription box offering S.T.E.A.M. projects for kids, Kim focused on acquiring new customers, scaling user acquisition from 6k/month to 240k/month during peak seasons and growing monthly marketing budgets from $100k to $6M from July 2016 to July 2019. Kim transitioned KiwiCo’s Facebook ad management in-house, bringing it away from an agency, and successfully achieved customer acquisition costs (CAC) under target CPA while driving high customer lifetime value (LTV).

She defined the ad creative strategy through rigorous A/B testing of creative and audiences, working closely with the internal creative team to produce 3+ new video ads each month. Kim expanded SEM spend by 380%, boosting conversions by 210% with a funnel-centric approach to keyword strategy, focusing on unbranded keywords with product intent. She built and optimized 3 upper-funnel campaigns, delivering incremental customers under target CAC.

Kim also led new channel testing for KiwiCo, prioritizing channels and negotiating partnerships for direct mail, catalogs, Outbrain, Reddit, YouTube, influencer marketing, and podcasts. She spearheaded a $300k test of DRTV, managing an external agency to create two commercials, while partnering with the internal creative team to create a third spot from existing footage. Kim tested and optimized spots, networks, and dayparts using both external and internal attribution tools to measure performance.

At Quiggly, a Montessori-inspired toy brand, Kim led everything from spotting the market gap to building products, launching sales channels, and growing revenue. Quiggly’s hero product is the Toy Spray Mop and the rest of the product line followed from there.

Kim built the growth engine from zero to roughly $100K per month across Amazon and Shopify within the first 18 months. On Amazon, she created high-converting listings, optimized SEO, tested A+ content, ran efficient PPC, and used Vine and UGC to drive reviews and trust. The result was strong conversion rates and fast traction against bigger brands and commodity sellers.

On Shopify, Kim leaned into organic storytelling and UGC to drive traffic and build community. She layered in email and SMS retention, educated customers on developmental benefits, tested PDP and checkout improvements, and increased repeat purchase and AOV.

She kept acquisition costs lean by relying on content and influencer traffic rather than heavy paid spend. Kim also led positioning, pricing, packaging, inventory planning, and analytics to guide smart decisions as the brand scaled.
